Koi ready for the final cut!

Christine has been working hard this Summer which is a sad reminder how fast Summer went by. Just yesterday I was in California packing up my shop. Today I am in the Olde Forge doing …duh duh duh…inventory. Woohoo. Then I received some lovely pics.

Forge Flame!

I have been away from my blogging duties for a week or so now because I have found a home for my yarn. At first, I thought … working farm, dye studio and showroom…but then I looked upstairs at The Olde Forge and asked Lesley what she was going to do with that space. Turns out that the space was heaven sent. Windows everywhere, doors to outside seating upstairs and downstairs and LOVE EVERYWHERE. I boasted via Mailchimp that I was moving to Texas for a really good reason…LOVE. Bandera is filled with some great people and plenty of BIG HEARTS!

This is a special skein for the Olde Forge.

Cowgirl’s Short-Sleeved Sweater

Yarn: Merino 400
Colorway: Folk Soul

Based on Knitting Pure and Simple pattern 1301 and inspired by Tin Can Knits “Low Tide” as well as BANDERA yeeeee hawwwww!

This sweater can be translated in to an adult woman’s sweater. I will test knit an adult version soon. I use yarn overs for my m1’s and I use m1r and m1l for my kb’s to have a smooth increase on the shoulders. I love the raglan look, but you can easily modify to suit.

The pattern is set to be released in the next week and will make it’s debut at the Dogleg Coffeehouse Yarn Tasting. Then she will make her rounds starting with Suzoo’s Wool Works then off to California for a stint at Yarn del Sol™!

This is for my fearless knitters…it’s okay to be creative!
