Yes, the Bering Sea is a little cold for koi fish, but perfect for Christine’s next endeavor! I love it when someone brings me an idea. There isn’t an obvious answer. There is a process of adding and subtracting color until you get the color that works for a project. This is when dying yarn goes from routine to artsy fartsy. Totally dig it!
Note: I am not trying to match up the colors to the actual pattern. There are no absolutes in hand dye since there are rarely two of a kind even!
The Bering Sea has highlights of the teal shown in the photo, but I felt this needed to be more green toned in order to draw out the beauty in the vibrant koi red/orange. That’s my disclaimer!
