sheep•walk (noun British) – a tract of land on which sheep are pastured. Origin: 1580-90
Sheepwalk hand dyed yarn and fiber is a collaboration of storytelling, color work and sometimes a little silliness. Only two skeins are alike because we dye in small batches. Our inspiration comes from our daily life experiences, our imaginations and a desire to bring color to everyone’s life. Each skein is measured to suit the most popular patterns out there.
Fingering = 600 yards
Sport = 500 yards
Worsted = 400 yardsRetail = $32.00 per skein
We go the extra yardage to make sure you have just the right amount to make your favorite shawl, pair of socks, texting gloves and more. Our favorite thing is to take the left overs, mix and match them to get one-of-kind garments. We do custom dye but for in store customers only. Sometimes, though, we do get our best color ideas from our customers who live far, far away: Britt’s Delight, Standwald, The Little Mermaid, Forbidden Flowers…Your feedback is always welcome.
